Featured Country Initiative
The Featured Country Initiative (FCI) is a campuswide platform for celebrating the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s international collaborations in specific locations around the globe. These collaborations include joint research and publications, student and faculty exchanges, community engagement, and creative endeavors.
Countries are featured on a rotating basis in two-year cycles. The FCI supports academic collaboration, promotes shared research initiatives, and fosters cultural exchange to address global challenges and enrich the educational experience for students, faculty, and staff.
The initiative serves as a catalyst for global engagement and a cross-campus repository for international engagement data and storytelling. It highlights key relationships between UW-Madison and our partners in featured countries while encouraging deeper international connections.
